Moving On

Cold winters night, the pounding on the earth,
the moon guiding our path as we search for a new home.

The hope that fills our weary hearts,
to be safe once again amongst creatures without plight.

For it is our way to move on and on
to desire solitude to live our lives by way of the land.

Oh bright and luminous moon guide us to our home
so that we too may be one with our mother earth.

Keep us safe within our journey to where we belong.
So that the next night we may rejoice and
together sing a new song.
